"An Intriguing Anchorage",  is another painting inspired by my sailing trips to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In this painting my goal was to capture the spirit of Granary Creek, a secluded anchorage off the East Wye River that I've anchored in overnight several times. In "A Cruising Guide to the Chesapeake, authors William Stone, Fessenden Blanchard, and Anne Hays describes Granary Creek as "equally intriguing, secluded, and private". They go on to say that "it would be impossible to find a snugger anchorage". I certainly agree.
